WE EXIST TO INEVITABLY BE DROWNED OUR OWN MOONSHINE
You may be wondering where you are, and to be frank, neither do we.
All we know is that this won't be an easy journey. Your only way of travelling without getting thrown off during the ride is by keeping a bottle of moonshine along with you. That little bottle of chaos might be your last hope at staying alive, or it might annihlate you completely.
MOONSHINE - WHAT'S THE DEAL?
Moonshine, the merciless flood of our Noah's Ark. A substance which promises great power, but stands as the fall of humanity.
Ages ago, the Sentinel of The Living decided on the Purging, an event that would wipe out the heathens that contaminated the Original World, and create a new world free from sin. This erased the progress of humanity and its concepts at that time.
However, humanity had a trump card. With the invention of the Leviathan, few people managed to survive the Purging. To the Sentinel's dismay, they were able to halt the Purging while it was active and prevent the Moonshine from destroying every concept.
This came with some side effects. The world was in a bad shape; it would soon collapse, and there were holes everywhere that seemed to lead to different places, what we now call domains. These domains would experience natural disasters once in a while, seemingly triggered by a substance akin to the floodwater in the Purging. After the said disaster, the domains would form pools of this liquid, and if distilled, it could give somebody the power of a Sentinel, or bring slow and painful death. People called this substance "Moonshine", as it was particularly arduous to extract, and had a booming underground market which tried to sneak through the chains of prohibitions.
The job of many of us here is to extract the Moonshine, without being caught by the Containment. It's truly a gamble, but it's a decision between life and death nowadays.
